YOUR CLUB NEEDS VOLUNTEERS TO HELP!

This has been written many times, by many club presidents that run volunteer organizations, but gets very little response.
So those few that do step up to help are over loaded and then many jobs get done poorly or not at all.

I recently sent an email to over 50 parents requesting only 2 hours of help over the next 3 weeks to line a field for their kids to play on.
Sadly I only got one response, and it was from a coach who already volunteers 3 to 5 hours every week.

IT IS TIME FOR A CHANGE

Most people need some motivation, or pressure of some sort to help, so the club has decided to follow what has worked for other volunteer clubs.

Starting with Fall registration. A Family member must volunteer a minimum of 5 hours per season for each child playing soccer, or pay $8 for each hour not contributed. (Max 10 hour req. per family)

With the Fall season fast approaching, Now is the time to cherry pick the volunteer positions that are available.
Training for any of the positions is provided if needed

Any hours worked from today forward are counted towards your fall commitment

The following is a list of positions we need filled now

Distribute fliers to schools (1/2 hr per school... deliver to 10 schools = 5 hrs)
This is a job that needs to be completed next Monday or Tuesday

Each of the positions below fulfill at least 5 hours

Coaches coordinator (3 people needed) Knowledge about about coaching soccer is not required for this position

Referee coordinator (2 people needed) Knowledge about reffing soccer is not required for this position

Jamboree coordinators (11 people needed)
Head Coordinator
Soccer Games coordinator
Food Concession coordinator
Carnival type Games coordinator
Picture Coordinator
Dunk Tank Manager
Set Up coordinator
Tear down and Clean Up coordinator
Fund raising basket coordinator
Raffle coordinator
Site coordinator

Summer Camp Coordinator

Field maintenance for lining the fields (3 people needed)

Field equipment manager, Paint and maintain Goals and other equipment

Field coordinator to apply for field use from the schools

Coaching or assistant coaching more than fulfills the requirement
