Happy 2009! The spring soccer season is approaching fast! CRYSA U8 and older will start April 4th and play 7 games The Micro Games will also begin in April. Registration will begin within 2 weeks and will end the end of February. More information will be emailed to you after the Club Meeting next Monday (Mon. Last Chance for the AGM

The Annual General Meeting is next Thursday, Nov. 13, at 6:30 pm at Clackamas Spaghetti Factory. RSVP required by Mon. Nov. 10th at 9am, Please use the RSVP form at ddsoccer.org. Coaches Game Sunday!

Just a quick reminder about the coaches soccer game this Sunday, Oct 26th at 1pm at Menlo Park. There is not an ending time for the game, so come when you can, and play as long as you survive! Coaches, assistant coaches and board members are invited. Because this is the first time for this event, please respond with a favorable reply if you are planning to attend. If we do not have enough participants, we will open this game up to all the players parents so that we have enough to play. Be sure to wear soccer shoes and shin guards if you have them! Jim Braet

AGM, Pizza Baron Coaches Game

Official Notice: 1 Our Annual General Meeting(AGM) will be held on November 13th at Clackamas Spaghetti Factory. This is important that coaches come too this meeting. You decide who is on the board next year and vote on bylaw changes that will affect some important aspects of how the club is run. All coaches are entitled to a complimentary dinner. If you have a working assistant coach, you can request that they also receive a complimentary dinner. Wives, significant others, and other parents can purchase their meal for $14. This includes all the costs including the tip. This is a RSVP event and you must RSVP before November 3rd with your selection of your dinner. Please go to the main page of our web site to see what Board positions are up for election, the current bylaws, the proposed bylaws and your choice for the meal(one of three). If you would like to or know someone that would be willing to fill a board position, they can be nominated before or the night of the AGM. Nominees do not need to be present. I hope to have a RSVP form on the page by the end of this week. Or you can email us or call Sandi with your RSVP 2 There is a Soccer Club night at Pizza Baron this Thursday. You can purchase a Family pizza for $17 and a % goes to the club. You must use the coupon that is on the web site to get the special and the donation to the club. 3 At 1 pm on Sunday October 26th, there will be coaches soccer game at Menlo Park. This can be a fun event and a way for the coaches to get to know each other better. Assistant coaches and board members are also invited. Soccer Club Update

I hope your season is going well and you and your team is having fun. We are looking for a parent to help line the fields once per week, so if there is a parent on your team that would be willing to help, please have them contact us at <a href="mailto:info@ddsoccer.org">info@ddsoccer.org</a> It's an easy job, and can be enjoyable if you like to walk, and training takes about 3 minutes! There is a club meeting 7 pm next Monday night at Human Solutions 12350 SE Powell We will be discussing proposals for changes to the bylaws among other topics. Proposals must be submitted and publicized 30 days before the club's AGM (Annual General Meeting) The main purpose of the AGM is to vote on Bylaws and board positions, and all coaches and board members have one vote. The AGM this year will be held on Nov 12 or 13th. at the Spaghetti Factory. Coaches and board members meals are compliments of the club. Anyone else attending can purchase their meal. We will need to make reservations, but we will send out a reservation form once the date and time have been decided. Important Potty info

There has been a problem with the porta potty locks, some kids who are not part of the club have somehow gotten the combination to our locks so.... Effective today, the combination is now 554 Also when Unlocking the lock, please lock it back on the potty and spin the dial so the combo is not set. Please do not give the combination to anyone without also giving them the instructions that protect the combo by locking and spinning the numbers and with strict instructions that they do not give the combo out to anyone Jim

DAVID DOUGLAS SOCCER CLUB Fall MINIS RULES Ø 2 Fields Side by Side Play 3 V 3 Ø No Goalie Ø Substitute on the fly Ø No offsides Ø No Penalty Kicks Ø Ball size 3 Ø 4-10 minute quarters with 5 minute break in between Ø Corner kicks are enforced Ø Goal kicks are enforced Ø Kick off is to be done as normally would be in any game. (Ball is placed in the middle of the field and must be moved forward to start play) Ø NO SLIDE TACKLING AT ALL. (Every player must stay on there feet when they kick the ball) Ø All players are to play ½ of the game regardless of skill level. Remember the only way they will get better is to play. LETS HAVE A RESPONSIBLE, FUN SEASON AND WIN OR LOOSE, LETS BE GOOD SPORTS!!!
