Fees and uniforms:
Pre-K through 2nd grade fees are $70.3rd through 8th grade fees are $100.
A late registration fee of $10 will apply on February 24th after registration closes.
New uniform kits are $41. Each uniform kit includes a black jersey, red jersey, black shorts, and black socks. Used uniforms and soccer gear are encouraged and available come spring

Welcome to spring 2024 soccer! I'm glad your family is joining DDSC this season.
As of now, teams are being formed depending on the registration player numbers with taking into consideration coach and player requests. Currently, our player numbers show 31 teams: 8 Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten (PreK/K) Micro teams, 10 1/2 grade Micro teams, and 13 3rd-8th grade teams! We need you! DDSC runs as a Volunteer organization. We are asking for Parents/Adults to step into volunteer on and off the field positions. No experience is necessary. Training and lesson plans are provided!
DDSC has the greatest need for coaches specifically at the Micro PreK/K teams. Please reply to this email with any desires and/or questions to coach! All volunteers go through a background check for the safety of our players and community.

Some important Spring 2024 soccer information to remember:

Practices are in the evenings at a David Douglas School District field. Once a week practice for 3rd through 8th grade players with location and time determined by Team's Head Coach; Wednesdays starting Wednesday, April 3rd at 5:30pm-6:30pm for Kindergarten through 2nd grade Micro players at Cherry Park School upper field.
Once a week practice may start the week of Monday, March 17th through May depending on Coach availability. First Micro Pre-K through 2nd grade practice will be Wednesday, April 3rd from 5:30pm-6:30pm at Cherry Park School upper field.
Games are April through May. (No game on Mother's Day (5/12) and Memorial Day weekend (5/25-5/26).) Team game schedules will be posted under Team Schedules by late March/early April.
3rd grade through 8th grade play Saturday games in the Portland area. See game schedules under Team Schedules by March 31st.
Micro Pre-K through 2nd grade play Sunday afternoon intra-league games at Cherry Park School. (No game on Mother's Day (5/12) and Memorial Day weekend (5/25-5/26).) Micro game schedule will be posted under Team Schedules by April 5th.
Ordered uniform kits will be delivered by the first game of the season to you.
DDSC is a volunteer run club, and our ability to provide an excellent playing experience for our kids is dependent on support from our players’ parents and community. When registering, you will see an opportunity to volunteer for coaching position, team parents, and board members. Please consider ways you can participate in the success of our club!
DDSC continues to follow state and federal COVID-19 guidelines for outdoor activities as well as playing within Oregon Youth Soccer and Portland Youth Soccer Associations.

Thirdly, DDSC Used Equipment and Uniform Coordinator Jessica Giannettino has put together a gear swap page. This is a community shared project hosted by one of our player's family. Please see if there's any gear that you can use and donate old soccer gear so that our players in our community can continue to use it!
The only way that this functions is if folks utilizing the swap contribute to the upkeep of the tracking document, found here. To pick up/donate gear, find the item(s) you'd like, text Jess at (618) 694-8082 to arrange pickup/drop off at her house in Cherry Park. Once picked up, please remove the item(s) you got from the swap, by deleting the entire row. To do so, right click on the number associated with that row and then delete. For Donations: Please add the items you're donating to the spreadsheet under the correct tab and size range (found at the bottom of the screen) and drop off at her house.
We're in particular need of size 1 cleats and can always use jerseys' your players have outgrown! Contact Jess at firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions.
