FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Have some questions about DDSC? Maybe we can answer them below. If not, feel free to contact us via email.
Q: When/where/how often are practices?
A: Practices are held in the evenings at one of the fields within the David Douglas School District. In the fall practices are held twice a week. One practice per week in the spring. All games are played on weekends.
Q: Will we have games on Sunday?
A: If your player plays for one of our Micros teams (2nd grade and under), all games will be held on Sunday afternoons at Cherry Park Elementary. Players 3rd grade and above will have games on Saturdays at various locations throughout Portland.
Q: How do you decide who plays in what age group?
A: Players are placed on teams according to their school grade level (to be consistent with the PYSA recreational league rules).
Q: Can I get a refund if my child never played or only went to a few practices?
A: We can offer refunds up until the first game day of the season.
Q: I don't know who my child's coach is and haven't been contacted?
A: Please give coaches until the second week after registration closes to contact you. If at that point you do not know whose team your child is on, contact our registrar at reg@ddsoccer.org and the Registrar will be happy to put you in contact with the coach.
Q: Do you offer scholarships?
A: We offer registration assistance on a limited basis. Please fill out the Scholarship Request form. We do not offer assistance towards the cost of the player's uniform ($41).
