Recreational Soccer (3rd–8th Grade)

Registration Window: June 1st – July 31st (*late fee of $10 applies starting 8/1)
Cost: $110 / player
Uniform Fee: $50 / player
Season Dates: August 17th – Mid-October
Practices Begin: Week of August 17th
Practice Schedule: Twice per week (determined by coaches)

Micro Soccer PK–2nd Grade

(Players must be at least 4 years old by September 1st)

Cost: $80 / player

Season Dates: September 2nd – October 25th
Practices Begin: Wednesday, September 2nd at Cherry Park at 5:30 PM

Additional Information

Uniforms: If your child’s uniform still fits, there is no need to purchase a new one. If your child has outgrown their uniform, please consider donating it to our DDSC used equipment program at usedequipment@ddsoccer.org.
Scholarships: Limited financial aid is available. Scholarship application will open June 1st.

Spring 2026 Schedule

Micros (PreK-2nd grade): See the Schedules page

Practices will be on Wednesdays starting April 1st from 5:30-6:30pm at Cherry Park Elementary School and will run through the end of May. Games will be Sundays starting April 12th through May 31st. No games on May 10th (Mother's Day) or May 24th (Memorial Day weekend).

Recreation/3rd-8th Grade Reminders

Games for most teams will begin Saturday, April 4th. All games are played at parks throughout the Portland area between 9am-5pm. You can view each park’s location by clicking on its name in the game schedule.
Most teams have one “bye” week. If you don’t see your team name under one weekend of games, that means you are not scheduled to play that weekend.
Please take a moment to carefully review your team’s game schedule to confirm all dates, times, and locations.

Important Reminder: Schedule changes or cancellations can happen due to weather, last-minute adjustments, or other unforeseen circumstances. Please always double-check your schedule the day before each game to confirm the correct time and location.

Player and Family Responsibilities:

If your player cannot make it to a game, please let your player's coach know as soon as you can.
Players must wear soccer cleats, shin guards, black socks, black shorts, and our DDSC uniform for every game. Coaches will let players know which color jersey to wear for each game. However, always bring both DDSC red and black jerseys to every game in case of a color conflict with the opposing team.
PYSA Policy: NO Jewelry of any kind can be worn during games except for medical bracelets.

Good Sportsmanship Reminder: Coaches, parents, and players are all responsible for creating a positive game environment. Please respect other players, coaches, and especially the young referees. Remember—your players are there to have fun. Please also review PYSA's official rules for U9-U14 players.

We Need You!

DDSC continues to thrive because of volunteers like you. This email contains important information about the Club, so please read through to the end.

As we approach the AGM, we ask you to consider how you might contribute to DDSC. One of the healthiest things we can do as a club is welcome new volunteers and fresh perspectives.

The DDSC Board of Directors consists of 12 volunteer members, each playing an essential role in supporting the club’s operations and mission. We invite you to take a moment to consider whether you would be willing to serve in one of these roles.

Requirements for serving on the Board:

A love for kids and the game of soccer
A desire to support our community
Enjoy working with others as part of a team

No prior experience is required. You would be joining a supportive, experienced Board committed to helping new members succeed.

We are also seeking candidates for the Micro Coordinator position, which is appointed by the Board.

Located in East Portland, Oregon, DDSC Recreational Soccer League is a league available for children who are 4 years old through 8th grade who want to learn skills and play soccer purely for the fun of it.

DDSC Used Equipment and Uniform Coordinator Jessica Giannettino has put together a gear swap page. This is a community shared project hosted by one of our player's family. Please see if there's any gear that you can use and donate old soccer gear and uniforms so that our players in our community can continue to use it!
